Co-sponsored by the All-China Women’s Federation，China Consumers’ Association，Women of China Magazine and Huakun Women Consumption Guidance Center，the first summit on Chinese women’s consumption opens.On behalf of the All-China Women’s Federation I warmly congratulate you on the convening of the meeting.I also want to thank all the people present here，and in particular，the three supporting companies.

Huakun Women Consumption Guidance Center is registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs and it is supervised by All-China Women’s Federation.The official launching of the center indicates women’s federation has another window now to serve women.We hope the center will make better use of this service window with the guidance of Deng Xiaoping’s theory and the “Three Represents”.We also hope the center will conscientiously study relevant Party policies，take four advantages and do four services.

First，taking advantage of women’s federation and women’s networks，learn timely what women need and try all it can to protect consumption rights and interests of women and children.

Second，taking advantage of its flexible operation，strengthen its relationship with other NGOs，women-related NGOs in particular，and media to serve the public.It should educate women and children on safety，environment protection，health consumption and saving resources.

Third，taking advantage of its ties with companies，act as a bridge between women consumers and companies and pass on women consumption information.By serving companies，it will help them improve their technology，raise products’ quality，create new goods and make them socially responsible.

Fourth，taking advantage of talents and resource in the society，set up experts and scholars networks，study issues concerning women consumption and women’s life.Based on research work，it should put forward policy suggestions for the Party and the government.We believe with a clear goal，hard work and honesty，Huakun Women Consumption Guidance Center will make achievements in guiding women consumption.

The topic for today is safe consumption for Chinese women and children.This is an issue the whole nation care.Present here are people from all walks of life.We gather here to discuss the issue and try to find ways to solve problems we have discussed.We hope to optimize consumption environment，further develop socialist market economy，raise people’s life quality and build a harmonious society.After this summit，experiences gained will lay a good foundation for the annual summit on consumption so that the forum will become a brand.Last by not least，I wish this summit a success.
