As a global leader,VOGUE magazine has helped raise women’s life quality.It provides a dream world for women and enlightens women as well.The All-China Women’s Federation is the powerful backing for women in real life.It is an organization that leads women’s development and serves Chinese women.Under the leadership of Chairwoman Gu Xiulian,it has a high place in Chinese women’s heart for its utmost efforts to protect women’s rights and interests.When Conde Nast China planned to publish VOGUE magazine in China,it wanted first to do a market research on magazines and Chinese women’s life.We decided that the All-China Women’s Federation would be a good partner.We believe,as an intimate friend of Chinese women,the federation is an authority on Chinese women’s life and their consumption.We entrusted the federation’s Huakun Women’s Life Survey Center to survey women on vogue in eight major cities.This co-operation has been very successful and we have gained very valuable information to understand Chinese women.Here I want to express our thanks to our partner Huakun Women’s Life Survey Center.
VOGUE magazine has always paid attention to market research to understand our readers.In October 2005,the magazine did a market survey of 300 VOGUE readers in Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou.The survey result has further improved our understanding about Chinese women’s vogue life.
The publish of VOGUE magazine in China is to let Chinese women,who are getting rich and becoming globalized day by day,share world information on women’s vogue life.This will help improve Chinese women’s life quality,and show to the world their beauty,gracefulness,self-confidence and ability.Understanding Chinese women’s vogue life and trends is VOGUE magazine’s basic job before it can make use of its global experience to publish a Chinese VOGUE.We will,as always,do research in the field.At the same time we will also disseminate to the world information about Chinese vogue.
