By investigating the effects of human capital on R&D activities with the data of non-governmental enterprises in China,the paper finds that the human capital of employers,managers and employees has significantly positive effects on R&D activities if the characteristics of corporate governance,products and industries are controlled in the regression model. The positive relationship between human capital and R&D activities is still remarkable even though the endogenesis of human capital is taken into consideration.
