In the 21st century，the ever-expanding internet has swept the whole world，and has，indeed，pervaded every nook and corner of our social life. Teenagers，as the most active and dynamic group of the society，are the pioneer and main body of Chinese internet users. Building on the Survey on the Internet Use by Minors in China in 2009，this study explores the potential influence of families on minors’ use of the internet. Finally，it offers a few suggestions by drawing on some international experience.
