2010 is a restless year for environmental policies on packaging in China. This year，the government departments responsible for the Plastic Bag Restriction Policy are still making efforts to promote its implementation，while civil society groups tracking and reporting its effectiveness. In late summer this year，an open debate was sparked off on whether the 9-year-old ban on PS disposable food container should be lifted. Different opinion was expressed via media channels，providing good reference to the policy makers. Regulations against over-packaging were started this year.
