The industrial development in Heilongjiang Province in 2010 maintained at a high speed，with four pillar industries，energy，chemistry，equipment and food serving as the mainstays and leading factors for the overall development of Heilongjiang Province. The industrial efficiency is significantly improved and most of the efficiency indices are above the national average. On the basis of analysis and evaluation，compared with the statistics of other provinces，the main problems in industrial development in Heilongjiang are：slow adjustment in industrial structure，not well-developed innovation capability，low investment efficiency，weak financing capability，and the tardy progress in developing tertiary industry. According to the theories relevant to industrial development，considering the national targets of the 12th Five-Year Plan，as well as the tendency of global economic development，the future strategy of the industrial development in Heilongjiang Province is presented.
