This article is a general review of the public security situation in China and a brief introduction to the Seventh Amendment to the Criminal Law as well as the relevant judicial interpretations issued by judicial organs in 2009.Taking the“Special Law Enforcement Action 2009”that targeted crimes relating to faked currency，the article reviews the measures taken by China in 2009 for the control of multiple crimes，and through the discussion of cases with major social impact，explores the relationship between the public opinion and administration of justice.The article also provides information about the ongoing reform of sentencing procedure and forecasts the trend of development of the criminal law system in the year 2010.
