The year 2009 saw a drastic increase in the number of crimes，including major crimes such as violent crimes，crimes against property，crimes of disrupting socialist market economic order and crimes of disrupting the order of social administration. In response to this situation，Chinese government has made a series of adjustments and changes to its criminal policies. In the year 2010 China government will continue to be faced with dire crime situation and increasing press to maintain stability and therefore will make further adjustments to its criminal policies.
