Based on the research about current situation and cause of urban traffic congestion in China,this report points out that discrepancy in rapidly increased traffic demand and limited traffic supply, unconscionable urban space arrangement, and inefficient traffic management are the underlying causes of the traffic congestion. This report also gives countermeasures and suggestions on urban traffic congestion of China on account of advanced experiences of foreign countries. <<
