Chinese government has made great efforts to realize the basic rights of Chinese farmers especially through a series of reforms in recent years that have made big progresses.China fully abolished Agricultural Tax,exempted tuition fees for rural compulsory education,established a new rural cooperative medical care,set up social security system in rural areas,and reformed Electoral Law to make equal of the electoral rights about rural and urban people,and so on.Because of historical reasons,there still have been great gap between urban and rural areas in China,and the public resources are not well-distributed in China as well.In order to realize the Chinese farmers' basic rights,the government should thoroughly reform the dual household registration system,promote urban-rural integration,and equalize the distribution of public resources and services. <<
