In recent years，the selling price of commercial residential buildings in Guangzhou Municipality has been increased year by year，the housing problem of low-income family’s needs to be solved to provide affordable house to those who live in Guangzhou and realize the target of equalizing the essential public service of housing. This paper，within the frame of equalization of essential public service and in Guangzhou Municipality’s housing security and consumption systems basically formed by the low-rent housing，economically affordable housing，limited-price housing and commercial housing，plans to study the issue of expediting the construction of low-rent housing so as to propose the countermeasures and advices for realizing the housing equity for the social disadvantaged groups.
