Guangzhou has proposed the strategy of “strengthening the city through culture and constructing a world cultural city” in 2010.Beginning with the analysis of the advantages and gaps of Guangzhou in constructing the world cultural city，this paper proposes suggestions from the perspectives of objectives setting，citizens’cultural sense of identity and modern civic consciousness cultivation and urban cultural landscape reshaping and interpretation.
