The economic and social situations of Guangzhou were influenced and shocked profoundly by the international financial crisis in 2009. However，Guangzhou has adhered to the main tasks of maintaining the growth，expanding the domestic demands，adjusting the structure，promoting the transition and stabilizing the people’s livelihood. By seizing the opportunity of Asian Games，Guangzhou has bravely carried out the administration management system reform，speeded up the pace of urban-suburb integration construction and vigorously conducted urban comprehensive environment renovation，thus achieving the sound，steady and fairly fast development of society and economy. In 2010，the impact of global financial crisis has been faded away gradually and the Asian Games will be held grandly in Guangzhou，the development goal of “Bluer Sky，Clearer Water，More Passable Road，Prettier Building and More Beautiful City” will come true from the blueprint and Guangzhou’s economic and social development will step into a new development phase.
