The report of the 18th national congress of the CPC pointed out that comprehensively promotes the rule of law as a vital important policy and strategy. Building the Chinese characterized legal system of the elderly not only guarantees the rights and interests of the elderly, but also is an important approach to responsing to aging society. In 2012 the protection of rights for the elderly are continuously strengthened, the newly revised and promulgated Law of the People's Republic of China on Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly marks a new stage of the legalization of the cause of aging in our country. However, in recent years new problems appeared in the regard of protection of rights of the elderly, cases dealing with the elderly continue to increase. Special legislation process should be boosted and the detailed rules to implement the Law of the People's Republic of China on Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly should be made in order to continue the process of legalization of the cause of aging. <<
