Drug addiction is becoming a serious social problem. The formation and spread of the drug users negatively affect the social life. Based on the investigation materials in Xinjiang in 2007，the paper describes the characteristics of the drug users and reveals the reasons，types，methods and consequences of drug addiction. It analyzes the modes and effects of anti-drug. It also provides policy recommendations on improving the effectiveness of anti-drug programs.
