The international financial crisis had exerted a great impact on the economy of Shanxi Province which was characterized by a single-industry structure，and also blown the clarion for the transformation of Shanxi’s development.The culture industry played an important role in the transformation of Shanxi’s development.This paper，through the use of the statistics of the culture industry in the 2nd economic census，goes to make a systematical analysis of the development of Shanxi’s culture industry，and based on the comprehensive study of the current developmental situation，structural features and existing problems of Shanxi’s culture industry，this paper is also going to analyze the mechanism through which the development of culture industry promoted the economic transformation，and make a rational thinking on promoting the development of culture industry.
