In these ten years，nearly half of the traditional bookstores have closed under the dual attack of the online bookstores and digital publications in China.To protect the traditional bookstores is to maintain the cultural diversity，is also to enhance the reputation of the region and create a scholarly community.The government should implement the “ book price limit legislation ”，set a reasonable book price，extend the preference for the Xinhua bookstore to the private bookstores and establish the system of reward and subsidy for the private bookstores as soon as possible.
