Abstract: The successful applying for Asian Games in 2004 and launch in 2010 greatly improved the economic development and employment in Guangzhou. In post Asian Games period, in order to avoid the"Olympic Valley Effect" in Guangzhou, Guangzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau sets up special research team, through literature research, visited Development and Reform Commission, human resources and social departments in both Shanghai and Beijing, and also visited Shanghai Expo Bureau, Guangzhou Asian Games Committee, Urban Construction Committee and other functional departments, based on the overseas and domestic research, analyzes the employment in Guangzhou before and after Asian Games, then proposes strategies and suggestions.
