This paper elaborates the GNSS and LBS industry development in different historic period of society and mapping science. It describes the close relationship between the industry and the Internet of Things, LBS etc. The prospect and problems of the industry are outlined in the aspects of non-technology, and the gold opportunity for the industry growth are identified and understood. The author points out that LBS is the key element for wide use of Internet of Things and the foundation for daily use of mobile internet by people. <<
