In the past few years, China has been under the heavy pressure posed by the downturn of international economy and slowed economic growth in China. In this situation, the Chinese government has made more proactive employment policies. With concerted efforts of all communities, the employment situation in our country now remains basically stable. Considering the needs of future economic and social development, the 18th CPC Congress has stated that China will facilitate and realize higher-quality employment. The General Report, from the macro and micro, international and domestic perspective, introduces the achievements and problems in China in constantly expanding aggregate employment and improving employment quality. To be specific, the General Report discusses the innovative policy system, ereation jobs, upgrading of employment capacity, promotion of employment among major groups, enhancing employment and human resource services, deepening reform of income distribution regulations, and improving labor relations. It also proposes policies on how to facilitate and realize higher-quality employment. <<
