This thesis introduces the connotations and relevant evaluating indicators of employment quality. It studies the employment quality in China from the perspectives of developing employment posts, employment scale and structure, labor remunerations, working hours, social security and labor relations, etc. The research reveals that employment quality in China has experienced considerable progress in recent years. And such progress is mainly represented by greater efforts to develop employment posts, larger employment scale, optimized employment structure, higher salaries, wider coverage of social security, and better employee-employer relations. Nevertheless, China now still faces many problems such as relatively short supply of employment posts, not quite high labor remunerations, relatively huge gap in incomes among different sectors, employment discrimination, and relatively low employment stability. The thesis, from the perspectives of implementing employment priority strategy, improving labor remuneration security mechanism and optimizing fair employment environment, has proposed the counter measures to improve employment quality in China.
