Great efforts to develop vocational education is of great significance for China to solve the problem of employment and the address the issues of "Agriculture, Rural Areas and Farmers", achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals of "eliminating poverty", promote fair education and society, and build the harmonious socialist society. The Warmth Project initiated by Chinese Vocational Educational Institute has created the unique model featured by "initiation and execution by NGOs and participation by government agencies, focus on public-interest vocational education and training, integration of social resources, and development of typical projects". Till today, the Warmth Project has gained the significant experience which is summarized in the following phrases, "aimed at serving the overall development, focusing on improving livelihood, targeted at promoting employment, oriented at market needs, highlighting skill training, adopting the model of project management, based on dynamic supervision and bonded by enhanced service". The Warmth Project does help promote and realize education equity, build learning society, establish the vocational education & training system for all, and in particular encourage NGOs play an important role in promoting economic and social development. It is worth learning to some extent. <<
