The "Westward March" strategy of China relies on the economic development of the west region as its pivot point, the regional economic integration of the SCO members as its basis, and the European market as its terminal, projects the economic power of China orderly to the Eurasian continent so as to eventually realize the political functioning of reshaping China's geo-economic space, strengthening the administrative capability of the regions of ethnic minorities, and balancing China's international strategic structure. As an important link of China's "Westward March" strategy, the region of Central Asia witnesses numerous conflicts of interest in the course of regional economic integration. SCO is going to play an important role in the process of the Central Asian economic integration regarding the conceptual innovation for regional cooperation and the construction of transportation infrastructure, and assist China's "Westward March" strategy in its expansion into the interior of Eurasian continent. <<
