This article discusses the classification of right-wing extremism in Germany and argues it is characterized by intolerance, racism, xenophobia and anti-democracy.Then the article investigates the causes of the rise of the German extreme right and highlights immigration problem, unbalanced social-economic structure between west and east and developing space provided by Germany's political system.Finally, the article analyses the influence extreme right forces have had on German society and the response of Germany's mainstream political parties and other forces from society.
