The relationship between ROK and Japan,after nearly half a century of development,has made great achievements in the fields of politics,economy,culture and social cooperation.However,with the changes of international situation and domestic politics in ROK and Japan after the Cold War,Dokdo dispute has become an adverse factors restricting their relations.The Lee Myung-bak Administration failed to achieve substantive progress in security cooperation and FTA negotiation with Japan because of Dokdo dispute.Park Geun-hye,who won the 2012 president election,had set the keynote and focus on foreign policy towards Japan,how to resolve the dispute within the term will supply an important opportunity to watch the future development of relations between ROK and Japan. <<
