Since 2012, the political stability in Latin American region has been further consolidated, and the political ecology has been balanced basically. The open debate between the left and right wings has slowed down, replaced gradually by peaceful competition between the moderate and radical development models. Procedural democracy in the region has been improved while the structural contradictions of political system were further exposed and the public insecurity tends to be "normalized". The ruling environment in many left-wing countries has been much better than ever before, but the governing pressure is still very great. Looking into 2013, the political stability could be maintained in many Latin American countries, but it is still possible that some political uncertainties would appear.
