The paper will report on political，economic，social situation and foreign affairs of the Caribbean region. Detailed analysis will focus on countries like Bahamas，Guyana and Suriname，selected as key object Caribbean countries for 2008. Politically，the region as a whole was kept in stability with policy coherence. Regional economy continued growing and ended in “double surplus” under current and capital accounts，However，enterprises were faced with challenges posed by declining tourism，fiscal pressure and high inflation. Social policies were calibrated to the fighting against crimes and poverty reduction. The Economic Partnership Agreement signed with the EU lit the changing diplomatic picture of the region.
