Switzerland maintained a stable political situation in 2011-2012. However, its economy grew only marginally. Switzerland kept a generally healthy public finance. The banking security and privacy system is still one of the paramount issues faced by the Swiss financial sector. On the international arena, Switzerland still regards its relationships with the EU as one of its priorities. In addition, it continues to stress and promote pragmatic cooperation with China. The year 2012 is the 10th anniversary for Switzerland's membership of the UN and it has been taking great efforts to enhance its international influences within the framework of the UN. <<
