Japan's defense industry is undergoing a thorough transformation. At the end of 2011, Noda administration loosened "three principles on arms exports" which had been run over 45 years. And then, in April 2012, Japan has declared that Japan is going to cooperate with the United Kingdom to develop a common military. In June, Japan amended the law JAXA which means Japan has lift the ban of "peaceful purposes only"about space techndogy. In July, a new organization that is called "Space Strategy Office" was established in the Japanese government. So Japan has already abandoned the strategy of domestic production that is held for a long time, and its defense industry will marching towards the world. This paper will analyze the development strategy, the development model, the causes and effects of this strategic transformation of Japan's defense industry. <<
