India-Pakistan Relations in 2008 demonstrated two characteristics. On the one hand，the two countries made some progress in confidence building measures and resolved some problems. On the other hand，they still disputed on some key problems because of strong mutual distrust and confrontation. They not only make no significant progress on the longstanding dispute over Kashmir，but also turned intricate on terrorist attacks and Chenab River. The future relations between the two countries will witness a situation of slow development owing to the acuity of the bilateral relationship.
