In the last decade, an unprecedented "mineral boom" or "resource boom" has been witnessed in Australia. In terms of the impact on Australian terms of trade spawned by mineral or resources trade, and the mineral or resource investment weighted in the Gross Domestic Product(GDP), the so-called "mineral or resource boom" has been justified without any doubt. Until now, this impressive boom has not been over yet. Undoubtedly, this new wave of boom has brought about considerable benefits to Australia, including higher domestic real income, higher asset values as well as rising resource investment. Although Australia will not fall into the well-known "resource curse", the negative influence on Australia's public policy, accompanied by the rising relative power of the mining juggernauts, should not be ruled out.
