The internet opinion leaders has become an important force to be reckoned on,which has had a huge impact upon the pattern of China's public opinion,social governance and public decision-making.In the late 1990s,the emergence of BBS became the initiative platform for the internet opinion leaders to take root. Internet opinion leaders during the era of BBS / forum went through four stages:technical specialization,early commercialization,elite stage and popular stage.Since blogging became part of the life of Chinese people,opinion leaders in the blog era have become not only anonymous forum users,but more some social elites in possession of certain social resources and social status.Since the rise of microblogging in 2010,the influence exerted by internet opinion leaders has become more explicit.Internet opinion leaders in this period have significantly exhibited cross-border features;they constituted a more diverse population;internet social opinion leaders have exerted stronger and stronger social influence,and produced an impact on the expression of citizens option,government administration,and social governance.They have become an important driving force in the democratization process of China. <<
