This paper firstly described energy development in the MENA region, reviewed and analyzed the regional energy reserves, production, consumption and trading conditions; it also summarized and explained the energy development strategies of the MENA region and its major countries, and strived to show a relatively complete picture of energy situation in this region. Combined with the background information of "Arab Spring" and the new geostrategic context that the United States implemented, the paper elaborated latest circumstances and future geopolitical trends in the MENA region aiming to be supportive to the coping strategies of China. <<
