Under the shock of the financial crisis，South Africa suffered from economic recession at the macro-economic level as well as at the industrial level. The economic development is seriously constrained by the unemployment. However，the crises did not affect the competitiveness of South African economy in a significant way. Some sectors still keep their vitality. The inherent unbalanced development problem is constraining the comprehensive recovery of South African economy.
