By mean of regression model and coefficient of elasticity，this paper studies the relations between consumption demand and economic growth，and demonstrates the current consumption status and the features in change and its roles in promoting Guangzhou economic growth with historical data. Thereafter，this paper analyzes the main elements that constraints Guangzhou’s consumption growth，and proposes suggestions on expanding consumption demand and promoting economic growth.
