The Income distribution is one of the most important issues in today's China, which has drawn extensive attention among the general public. Therefore, the paper focuses on the changes in income distribution in 2012.Firstly, the paper analyzes the primary distribution of national income, which is the income distribution between labor and capital, as well as that which is among households, entrepreneurs and governments. The authors find that both the proportion of labor income in GDP and the proportion of household income in GDP keep the trend of decreasing.Furthermore, the paper demonstrates that the income inequality is reduced within urban China, while the income inequality among rural China is widening.Meanwhile, the paper also reveals that the income gap between urban and rural residents is narrowing; however, the income gap among provinces is expanding.
