With the progress of urbanization and industrialization, the scale of domestic migration keeps increasing in China.Population migration has become a long-term and stable social phenomenon.Within the migrants, people who hold non-agricultural registered permanent residence often have higher education achievement, which in turn leads to better employment opportunities.This feature distinguishes this group of people from those who hold agricultural registered permanent residence.The paper analyzes the dynamic monitoring data from the National Population and Family Planning Commission of P.R.China, and conducts detailed research on the demographic characteristics of people holding different types of registration, their family condition, employment, and income.Government should promulgate more effective social and economic policies in order to promote social integration between migrants and local residents.Only through this way, migrants will shoulder more responsibility and become the main force in the process of social and economic development.
