Since China has implemented the policy of university enrollment expansion, the society as a whole has given extensive attention towards the employment situation and income level, living condition, and social attitude of the university graduated students. Relying on longitudinal survey and focus group interviews which were organized by the Institute of Sociology at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the paper analyzes the challenges and and changes facing newly graduated students from universities. The author points out that the mentality of graduated students starts to change: although multiple coping strategies have been implemented, it is difficult for the young people to deal with various social inequality and unfairness in their work and life. The paper suggests that a comprehensive policy should be introduced to facilitate newly graduated students to improve their employment situation.
