Heilongjiang Province maintained a greater GDP increase than the national average in 2012 with other economic indicators increasing faster than the national average as well. However, the province may be faced with a tougher environment for its industrial development. Both the traditional four pillar industries and the six newly developed strategic industries are faced with formidable challenges. Long existing problems such as laggardly adjustment of industrial structures and weak innovation ability have once again become prominent. In view of these problems and international economic development trend, it is proposed that Heilongjiang Province should continue reinforcing industrial structure adjustment and strengthening innovation ability in 2013. <<
