Since the global economic crisis in 2008, the development of electronic information industry in Heilongjiang has slowed down. However, the electronic information industry in Heilongjiang Province made rapid development in 2012. This situation implies that the electronic information industry in Heilongjiang has basically got rid of the negative impact of the economic crisis. Up to November 2012, all of the projects beyond 5 million yuan in the electronic information industry completed investment of 3.9 billion yuan in fixed assets. The growth in investment ranked second in the country in 2012. However, for electronic information product manufacturing and software industry of Heilongjiang, there is still a significant gap compared with the more developed provinces and regions. This report firstly conducted a brief overview of the electronic information industry development in Heilongjiang in 2012. Through the clustering analysis based on Euclidean distance, the report analyzed the development of the electronic information industry in Heilongjiang and its position in the country. Furthermore, the report made an in-depth analysis on one of the key development areas of electronic information industry in Heilongjiang—cloud computing. Finally, the report provided some suggestions for the future development of the electronic information industry in Heilongjiang. <<
