Relying on longitudinal survey focusing on university graduated students from 12 universities, the paper analyzes the challenges facing newly graduated students from universities. Although the year of 2013 is called "the most difficult job-finding year", the overall employment situation is far better than expectation. The prominent employment rate of graduated students from higher vocational schools demonstrates that higher vocational education has successfully transformed towards a market-oriented mode. However, university graduated students with bachelor degree have the lowest rate of employment, where students from rural areas are the most difficult group among them. On the other hand, the amount of female university graduated students keeps increasing; and female students have outnumbered male students at the threshold of employment market. Therefore, relevant government departments and employers should pay close attention towards this situation.
