Municipal economic competitiveness is a comprehensive measure of regional development capacity which covers economic,social,technological environmental and many other factors.Since Central Plains Economic Region (CPER) became the national strategy more than two years age,the regional economy has achieved rapid and healthy development.The overall economic competitiveness of the 30 cities from CPER grew steadily.This paper improves the evaluation index system for the overall competitiveness of the 30 cities in 2013,and their overall economic competitiveness in the 2014 is evaluated.We also make evaluations for the sub-index,analyze some typical cities.Finally,we put forward a series of policy suggestions for regional economy and overall economic competitiveness for cities. <<
