2009年，全国妇联与卫生部共同推动实施农村妇女乳腺癌、宫颈癌免费检查工作，并将其纳入国家重大公共卫生服务项目。该项目的实施提高了农村妇女健康水平，增强了妇联组织的凝聚力，提升了公共卫生服务水平，建立了社会化工作机制，为众多农村妇女和家庭带来福音。
<<The All-China Women’s Federation（ACWF）and the Ministry of Health started to work on the promotion of the free“Two Cancers”（breast cancer and cervical cancer）project for women living in rural areas in 2009. This project has been listed among the national key projects of public health services. Benefiting from the promotion of this project，the average health level of women in rural areas has been improved. This project has also enhanced the internal cohesion of ACWF，advanced the public health services level and established socialized working mechanism. All of these achievements bring benefit to millions of women in rural areas and their families.
