The All-China Women’s Federation（ACWF）has actively promoted the legislation against domestic violence since 2008. Meanwhile，it has enhanced multi-departments cooperation to establish the working mechanism against domestic violence，conducted relevant theoretical research in thorough and promoted propaganda at full blast. This set up a sound basis for the national legislation in a formal manner. At the end of 2011，the formal legislation against domestic violence found its place in the to-do list by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. This move establishes a milestone of promoting the action of anti-violence in family and also a new stage for the further conduction of this work.
