Since 2008，the Project of Reducing and Eliminating has increasingly enlarged its investment amount and its application scale. It also passed the regulation of health care services for women and children. Moreover，the project established perfect emergency channel for pregnant women and further adopted assistant policy to help economically-disadvantaged pregnant women to deliver babies in hospital. These specific strategies contributed to the establishment of the long term mechanism to help pregnant women，which undoubtedly protected the life security and health status of women and children living in rural areas.
