Public opinion online in Henan Province demonstrates new characteristics and changes with the fast development of internet in 2013. Henan，as a province at the juncture of transition for leapfrog development，is confronted with new scenarios and challenges in its economic and social development. Public opinion online not only reflects reality but also exerts profound influence to development. Thus it is necessary to analyse and clarify the momentum and trend of online public opinion through active participation and leading it to work as a valve for reducing social pressure. Moreover，a long-term and interactive mechanism is established between the local government and netizen to build a flowing online public opinion system. Additionally，the leading role of public opinion leaders and traditional media shall be weighed more to further regulate internet environment and highlight positive energy. So that the public opinion would develop in a healthy way and play a constructive role in promoting the social stability and harmony as well as sustainable development.
