Through the analysis of presenting Monuments to the People’s Heroes with baskets of flowers respectfully on National Day，national mourning day，and the gravestones as rhetoric in movies and television dramas，this paper aims to show that the reconstruction of present mainstream ideology was accomplished by means of the mourning ceremony and the national memorial of the dead/former victims，and then set Aftershock as a case to analyze a story about how the traumatic memory of individual/family was successfully sutured in order to realize the internal reconciliation between the mainstream ideology and the middle class agents.
