>With the rapid economic and social development，Guangzhou has entered a period of new-approach urbanization. Since 2009，Guangzhou vigorously promoted 20 family comprehensive service centers. In 2012，social work services have covered all the streets of Guangzhou. Social workers provide services for the people of Guangzhou. Through the analysis of survey data，the author puts forward the suggestions and countermeasures，including adjusting the community service strategy and improving the community service content. The purpose is to mobilize community resources actively and play professional social workers’ role further，to meet the needs of residents. The author also advocates constructing new urban community service system with Guangzhou’s characteristics.
