The political relations between China and Germany made good progress since 2009.The two sides maintained close high-level contacts and deepened exchanges and cooperation between parliaments, political parties and localities and in law, military and other fields. In July 2010 China and Germany released a joint communiqué on advancing China-Germany strategic partnership in all respects. In this joint communiqué,the two sides gave their bilateral ties the new status of "strategic partnership",agreed to upgrade their strategic dialogue and proposed measures for stepping up pragmatic cooperation in all fields. In late June 2011,the first round of bilateral intergovernmental consultations were held in Berlin. The consultations resulted in the signing of numerous agreements further intensifying concrete cooperation between China and Germany in the future.Besides this progress there are also some disharmonies in some German media.
