This paper reviews the evolutionary process of Japan’s technical innovation strategy，explores the path of its latest development. Study shows that Japan’s technical innovation strategy has achieved some success in R&D inputs，technical trade and information infrastructure. But there is still a lack of informatization，basic research and the application of IT technology within enterprises in Japan. At the end of the paper，the developing tendency of Japan’s technical innovation is predicted，and how China should extract related experiences and lessons from Japan in perfecting innovation is concluded.
